At Innova, we believe in the power of values. Values are the compass which helps us navigate our lives. Leadership means to take initiative and responsibilty and leading by example implies embracing responsibility as key leadership value. Great leaders create a sense of communality around commonly shared values.
“The leaders who work most effectively, it seems to me, never say ‘I’. And that’s not because they have trained themselves not to say ‘I’. They don’t think ‘I.’ They think ’we’; they think ‘team’. They understand their job to be to make the team function. They accept responsibility and don’t sidestep it, but ‘we’ gets the credit. This is what creates trust, what enables you to get the task done.”
Great leaders translate vision into reality. The essence of leadership is bringing about change and achieving results through engaging people in your organization. In the face of new technologies as Artifical Intelligence making breakthrough developments organizations become flatter and more dependent upon internal and external collaboration with inspirational leadership getting even more important.
„If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.“
Organizations are socio-economic systems built around people, purposes and processes. Great leaders motivate people by making them feel they are at the centre of things and serve a higher purpose than only generating profits.
„Good leaders make people feel that they’re at the very heart of things, not at the periphery. Everyone feels that he or she makes a difference to the success of the organization. When that happens people feel centered and that gives their work meaning.“
We live in a business environment characterized by volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity which means that the key leadership task of making future-oriented decisions is more difficult than it was in the past deecades.
„In the face of ambiguity, uncertainty, and conflicting demands, often under great time pressure, leaders must make decisions and take effective actions to assure the survival and success of their organizations. This is how leaders add value to their organizations. They lead them to success by exercising good judgment, by making smart calls when especially difficult and complicated decisions simply must be made, and then ensuring that they are well executed.“

Leadership development is a journey that begins with greater self-awareness. We apply a variety of tools, including personality style instruments and 360 degree leadership assessments, to enhance self-knowledge and stimulate self-reflection.
At Innova, we believe in the power of teams and combine leadership development programs with individual and team coaching interventions to synchronize individual and team development in alignment with organizational goals and values.
On the executive level leadership is best taught in the context of challenging situations and real-life cases calling for new direction and solutions. Once a year we launch a public top management program called Corporate Entrepreneurship in China which centers around the practical challenges general managers of Chinese entities face in an ever more entrepreneurial business environment. In a small group of participants high level executives discuss and explore their changing role, ways for building high performance organizations, and individual cases related to strategy, innovation and change.
