During his activity for DaimlerChrysler Inc. Mr Archinger has developed trend-setting concepts for material supply and material transportation. He was member of the team which implemented a new, standardized production and logistics system at DaimlerChrysler. Since joining the IFAO Inc. in 2003 Mr Archinger is responsible for international projects in the field of logistics and information management.

Present projects of Mr Thorsten Hohls are the planning and implementation of a business process reengineering project at Linde KCA Dresden, personnel requirement planning at Krone Inc. Berlin and Siemens Inc. Erlangen, a project in the field of administration modernization for the Government of the Federal State Saxony/Germany dealing with the introduction of advanced controlling methods, and the establishment of a company-specific Balanced Scorecard model at the Hungarian subsidiary of Claas, Germany.

Mr Tobias Reggelin, Research Fellow and Consultant, Fraunhofer Institute for Factory Operation and Automation (IFF), Magdeburg/Germany (www.iff.fraunhofer.de)

Mr Tobias Reggelin holds a MSc in Engineering Management from the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, USA (with affliated institutes specialized as a technology-based business incubator and new product development center), and a MSc Logistics and Industrial Engineering from the Otto-von-Guericke University Magdedurg. At the IFF Mr Reggelin is responsible for management games –tools which are results from empirical research on corporate and production management techniques and based upon the principle of guided learning-by-doing in a team and step-by-step. As a tool of practice simulation management games provide participants with hands-on experience otherwise only gained after many years of professional experience.

Dr. Bernd Gimpel, Owner of Quality Engineers Ltd.

Dr.-Eng. Bernd Gimpel, born in 1961, worked during his studies of mechanical engineering at one of the Fraunhofer Institutes where he formed the core of a new quality management team. After getting his doctorate Dr. Gimpel worked as managing director of a consulting firm until 1996 when he founded Quality Engineers Ltd.. His main work areas are supporting product development processes, trouble shooting, risk analysis, innovation management and preventive quality management.
