Improving Interpersonal Understanding and Team Communication (Exercise-based Training applying the MBTI)
Open communication is a lead indicator of a high-performance team and a high-
performance culture which is easier achieved when the differences between people and
personalities are really understood and appreciated.
Through a series of exercises participants learn to understand differences in communication
style and how to communicate more effectively with other people. These exercises are
integrated into a range of other activities aiming at building trust, emotional intelligence and
interpersonal understanding.
Managing Successful Meetings
Participants with this 1-day training are introduced to the basic rules of successful meeting
management. The main objectives here are to master techniques helping participants to
make more valuable contributions to meetings, to better understand the different needs of
individuals in meetings and develop skills to manage diversity to achieve positive meeting
outcomes.
The programme is highly interactive and features many 'mini-meetings' within the programme
so that delegates get to practice what is preached.
Negotiating for Results
This simulation-based training provides participants with the skills to prepare for and
conduct effective negotiations, avoid common traps, and go beyond finding common
ground to seek opportunities for value creation for both parties. It focuses on preparation,
the actual negotiation, relationships, and the follow-through.
Through this program, participants will learn to develop a best alternative to a negotiated
agreement (BATNA), clarify and uncover all interests to create opportunities for mutual gain,
restore productive dialogue with "appreciative moves" when negotiations stall, differentiate
between the relationship and the deal, generate ways to foster relationships based on trust,
and think through and plan for how terms of an agreement will carry out in practice. Realistic
practice scenarios and interactive tools enable managers to grasp key concepts quickly and
retain them soundly.
Cross-Cultural Communication (Simulation- and Exercise-based Training)
Different communication styles form a barrier to more effective collaboration within
multicultural teams. Our training brings multicultural teams closer together and builds mutual
understanding and acceptance of different communication styles.
Through a simulation of a facility construction project participants learn about different
communication styles and cultural value orientations and by switching roles practice the style
of people with a different cultural background. In addition, we use a wide range of practical
exercises and role plays to help participants to enhance their ability to cope with challenges
in the area of cross-cultural communication and increase their behavioural flexibility.
Productive Business Meetings (Simulation-based Training)
This training helps participants to improve business results through increased quality of
business communication and interactions. Using a simulation participants learn how to
craft conversations that are fact based, minimize defensiveness, and draw out the best
thinking from everyone involved. Participants learn how making clear distinctions among
fact, interpretation, and conclusions can dramatically enhance the productivity of
meetings and discussions.
Through an interactive, real-world simulation, participants will learn how to move business
dialogues forward, explore the point of views of others, and overcome stalled discussions.
They practice shaping interactions that are highly productive, maximize learning and lead
to better informed decisions.
