Logistic costs are high in China – much higher than in the United States or Europe - and have been increasing rapidly during the last year. While logistic costs can partly offset China’s cost advantages as low labor costs, the high degree of fragmentation in the nationwide transportation system easily creates bottlenecks in operations. During this one-day intensive seminar course an experienced foreign expert will introduce universally applicable methods of transportation system design and optimization. Our speaker, Mr Christian Friedrich Wotzka of IFAO Inc., is an expert in the area of logistics optimization and Supply Chain Management. Before joining IFAO Inc. in 2002 as senior consultant Mr Wotzka worked for consulting firms PWC and Mummert & Partner and had been holding senior management positions at various German mid-sized manufacturing companies. His other areas of specialization include business process optimization, purchasing systems and strategic purchasing, as well as optimization of inventory management. Mr Wotzka has special experience in the various sectors of industry, in particular in the automotive and the automotive supplier industry, in the metal working industry and in services.
